/ the short version

we collect the least we can get away with: an email address if you join the list, whatever you type into the contact form, and standard anonymous analytics. we don't sell any of it. ever.

what we collect.

• email addressonly if you subscribe. used to send fare alerts and new guides — two emails a month, maximum. every email has a one-click unsubscribe.
• contact messagesname, email, and message when you write to us. kept only as long as the conversation needs.
• device preferenceyour chosen departure airport is stored in your own browser (localstorage) so the cities page remembers it. it never leaves your device.
• analyticsaggregate, cookie-light page statistics (which pages are read, from which country, on what kind of device). no cross-site tracking, no advertising profiles.

who processes it.

forms are handled by formspree, which stores submissions on our behalf. email is sent through our newsletter provider. both are bound by their own privacy policies and process data only on our instruction. when you follow a partner link (booking.com, going, an issuer's card page), you're on their site under their policy — see our disclosure for how those links work.

your rights.

you can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. one email to hello@alaiaeden.com does it; we answer inside 30 days, usually much faster. if you're in the eu, uk, or california, the same address is your point of contact for gdpr and ccpa requests.

cookies.

the site itself sets none. analytics may set a single first-party cookie to tell returning visitors from new ones; blocking it changes nothing about how the site works.

children.

alaia eden is not directed at anyone under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their data. if you think a minor has subscribed, tell us and we'll remove the address.

changes.

if this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll say so at the top of this page and, for subscribers, in the next email.
